Free Things to Do in Reykjavik

Reykjavik is a vibrant cultural city buzzing with art, history, and local experiences. Yes, Iceland is expensive but don’t let that stop you from exploring. There are plenty of free things to do in Reykjavik when you’re short on money. I recommend you visit an art museum and Reykjavik has many.

Whenever I visit a new country I always love visiting museums to learn more about the culture and its artists. Museums are fantastic and many of them offer free admission, and exhibitions a great way to save.

Many which are thought-provoking, captivating and quirky that adds a unique touch to Reykjavik’s cultural scene. A Relaxing Spot for both Locals and Tourists

The museum is spacious and popular with locals who often come to relax and catch up over coffee. The museum cafe serves a variety of homemade dishes, from soups and burgers to toasty sandwiches and fresh salads. For dessert, you can indulge in homemade cakes like chocolate, velvet, and carrot cake. There is also a great variety of different teas to choose from. I treated myself to a chai latte with oat milk, my favourite. It was one of the best chia teas I have ever had.
