Hotels

I’ve stayed in some of the nicest hotels that offer great style at affordable prices, so below are my top recommendations. It’s important to book the right hotel after all, a hotel is not just a place to sleep. It’s a place to feel right at home. A clean space with great hospitality, excellent facilities, and a welcoming team of people makes all the difference.
How to choose a good hotel
The Location
The location is key. The hotel has to be within easy reach of public transport, whether it’s a 10-minute walk to a bus stop or a train station. I use public transport for most of my travels, so it’s important to look out for these things. It’s a win-win when hotels are close to train stations, local restaurants, and within walking distance of attractions.
Boutique over Luxury Hotels
Boutique hotels are my preference over luxury hotels (most of the time!). I love that they focus on authentic designs, local culture, and creating a space that feels intimate and comfortable. I love the attention to detail, stylish interiors, and the sense of community that boutique hotels offer.
The Bathroom
I love a spacious bathroom where I can move around and not feel claustrophobic. A good bath tub and a good shower size really make a difference.
The Team
One of my pet peeves is poor customer service. I always read other people’s reviews about their experience at the hotels I want to book. Good customer service is important and is part of the experience. A friendly team of people always sets off a good vibe, and a great representative for the hotel.
