Hotel Recommendations

I’ve stayed in the nicest hotels that are great in style and affordable. So below are my hotel recommendations. It’s important to book the right hotel. After all a hotel is not just a place to sleep. It’s a place to feel right at home. A clean place with great hospitality, excellent facilities and a good team of people make all the difference.

What I look for when I book hotels

The Location

I make sure the hotels I book tick the boxes for comfort, location and affordability. First and foremost, location is key. The hotel needs to be within easy reach of transport links. I use public transport for most of my travels. It’s a win-win when hotels are close to train stations, local restaurants and walking distance to attractions.

Boutique over Luxury

Boutique hotels are my preference over luxury hotels. They focus on authentic design, local culture, and personal service, creating a space that feels intimate and memorable. I love the attention to detail, stylish interiors, and the sense of community that boutique hotels offer.

The Bathroom

I love a spacious bathroom where I can move around and not feel claustrophobic. A good bath tub and a good shower size really make a difference.

The Team

One of my pet peeves is poor customer service. I always read other people’s reviews about their experience at the hotels I want to book. Good customer service is important and is part of the experience. A friendly team of people always sets off a good vibe, and a great representative for the hotel.
