Discover Gatsby-Style hotel in Montmartre

OK, you’ve booked your flight or Eurostar tickets to Paris. You are looking for where to stay in Paris. Well I know a few hotels in Paris. Grand Hotel Chicago is located in the 17th arrondissement in the northern part of Paris. To give you an idea, Montmartre is on the right side of the Seine. It is a true treasure, rich in history, authentic and wonder. It offers a taste of the Parisian lifestyle.

If you’ve watched the film ‘The Great Gatsby’ Jay Gatsby would approve a stay at The Grand Hotel Chicago. This hotel transports you into the Gatsby glamour of the roaring 1920s.

The Location

The Grand Hotel Chicago is just a minute walk from the Rome Metro station. It is a 38-minute drive from Roissy – Charles de Gaulle Airport. It is a 46-minute walk from Gare Du Nord. Regardless of the type of transport, reaching the hotel should be easy. Exploring Montmartre from the hotel is also easy. It is within walking distance of attractions like Sacré-Cœur. You’ll find the metro provides easy access to all the top museums and attractions in Paris.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE GRAND HOTEL CHICAGO

The hotel is nice and cosy and has a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful designs inspired by the Chicago musical. Like many Paris hotels, the rooms are small but there is enough space for two people to move around. The bathrooms are clean, and the shower in my room was big, so no complaints there. My bed was nice and comfortable, and I managed to get a good night’s sleep during my stay.

THE STAFF AND FACILITIES

The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. There was a minor issue where the booking system canceled my reservation, which was an error on the hotel’s part. But, the lady at front desk resolved it and secured a room for me (phew!).

The facilities feature a quaint yet chic bar that’s always open, offering some fine French wines. There’s a cozy dining area for breakfast. The lounge area near reception is furnished with comfortable chairs, providing a space to read or relax.

FOOD SPOTS NEAR THE GRAND HOTEL CHICARGO

As I strolled around the area, I came across many restaurants just steps away from the hotel. Within a brief four-minute walk, you’ll discover Mama Primi. It is one of the renowned Big Mamma restaurants. It is known for its authentic Italian cuisine. If you’re in the mood for Al Fresco dining and people-watching, there are several French restaurants. These include Tonton des Dames, Les Beaux Gamins, and Brutus.

THE BEST SHOWS TO WATCH IN MONTMARTRE

One of the best activities for a night out in Montmartre is to attend a cabaret show. While there are several options, Moulin Rouge stands out as a spectacular choice. I wasn’t able to get tickets for Moulin Rouge, it was sold out. But I did obtain tickets for La Nouvelle Eve Cabaret show. It proved to be so entertaining. The dancers were talented and brilliant. The show takes place in a quaint traditional French theatre. I booked my tickets through GETYOURGUIDE at half the cost compared to Moulin Rouge’s prices. You have the option to pre-order a bucket of champagne at your table upon arrival. Or you can to order drinks once you are seated.

WHY I LOVED MY STAY AT GRAND HOTEL CHICAGO

The Grand Hotel Chicago is a top choice for my future visits to Montmartre. It’s a charming and cozy. I loved the decor. The location is perfect, it’s easy to visit attractions in the Montmartre area. The metro is minutes away. The cost for an overnight stay is reasonable cheap for Montmartre.
