How to spend a day in Menton
One of the most beautiful towns in the South of France is a colorful seaside town called Menton. Located near the Italian border and just 30 minutes from Nice. You can visit this colorful town in a day since it’s small and easy to navigate.
During my holiday to the South of France. I took a train from Nice-Ville. A great way to see scenic villages on the way to Menton. You can check train tickets on Omio, I use this website for a discount on train tickets across Europe. My train ticket cost 5 euros for a return from Nice. Super cheap!

THINGS TO DO IN MENTON
Once you get off the train, head straight down to Promenade du Soleil. This seaside street is lined with palm trees and stunning views of pastel buildings. There are many restaurants and cafes across the street. They mainly cater for Italian cuisine since Menton is close to the Italian border.
THE OLD PORT OF MENTON
The old port of Menton, known as Vieux Port De Menton. This part of town is a harbor where fishing boats fill the sea.

Spend some time in the Old Town. Walk down charming cobblestone streets. You’ll find buildings painted in soft pastel hues. There are hidden treasures at every corner. I really liked walking around the town and speaking with the locals who are so friendly. You’ll see breathtaking architecture, wall art, and local shops offering unique, independent products.
VISIT JARDIN BIOVES
One of Menton’s main attractions is the Jardin Biovès. This beautiful garden is famous for its annual Lemon Festival, where intricate sculptures made of lemons and oranges are displayed. If you get a chance, you can stroll through the garden. It’s beautiful, and you can smell the fragrant citrus trees.

SAINT-MICHEL-ARCHANGE BASILICA
A visit to the Saint-Michel-Archange Basilica is a must. This stunning church, perched on a hilltop, offers panoramic views of the town and the Mediterranean Sea.
After exploring the old town, you’ll most likely be hungry. Stop for a bite and enjoy the local cuisine. Menton is famous for its fresh seafood and Mediterranean flavors. There are a number of restaurants with alfresco dining.
