Where to Stay in Bath: The Best Boutique Hotel for a 24-Hour Trip

If you only have 24 hours in Bath, finding the best boutique hotel is essential for a seamless experience. On a recent visit to Bath, I stayed at The Yard in Bath. A luxury boutique with 15 cosy rooms, located just steps away from The Royal Crescent.

The Location

The hotel is located in a quiet street with just 5-minute walk to the city center. It’s also a 15-minute walk to Bath Spa Railway station. Making it convient for exploring the city in a short time.

Yard in Bath is walking distance from major attractions like Royal Creasent, Bath on Ice, Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein. You’re also close to shops and supermarket like Tesco.

For food places, try the local restaurant Noya’s Kitchen. It serves the best Vietnamese food, and is a top choice with locals so that’s saying something. You’re also not far from traditional pubs like The Griffin and The Raven.

Why the Yard is the best boutique hotel in Bath

The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed with luxurious interiors. Some rooms feature a rooftop terrace overlooking the courtyard, along with rainfall showers and freestanding bathtubs. Each room has space for luggage storage and a huge wardrobe. It also includes all the essential amenities you’d expect from a boutique hotel with luxury standards.

Facilities & Services

The Yard Bath was once a coaching inn, and many of the original features still exist throughout the hotel. What makes this hotel special is its signature breakfast, which is delivered in a hamper outside your room. The friendly staff are extremely welcoming and attentive. The hotel is small but intimate, and very clean.

There’s a cafe overlooking a small courtyard, you can order small bites and drinks during your stay. The only downfall is it does not serve dinner so you’ll need to eat out. Not a problem as there are many restaurants in the city center as you explore.

This is my favourite hotel in Bath city and I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Bath. The Yard in Bath is a winner by far. I’d would stay here again purely for the comfort, service and great location.
