Where to stay in Bath

If you’re looking to visit Bath, a UNESCO world heritage site. Steeped in history and charm. From the Roman Baths, Georgian townhouses, to thermal springs. This city is truly a delight to visit.

I recommend a stay at The Yard . A boutique hotel right in the city centre. The Yard was once an old barn, now it’s a beautiful hotel with 15 stylish rooms. I’ve visited Bath a few times and this hotel is the best one yet.

Why stay at The Yard?

Warm, comfortable décor gives The Yard home-away-from-home feel. You enter through a bright café that opens into a pretty courtyard. Inside, the lounge area features a welcoming fireplace, perfect for those slow, cosy moments. Every corner invites you to linger a little longer. Each morning, the team delivers a signature breakfast in a charming hamper and hangs it outside your room.

The property offers 15 rooms, each designed for comfort. Every room features stunning interiors with rich, warm colors. A vintage radio greets you with classical music as you walk in. A well-stocked tea and coffee tray sits beside the kettle and mini fridge. A spacious wardrobe gives you plenty of room to unpack. Comfort and elegance fill the space, complemented by thoughtful amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and luxurious bathroom products. Whether you choose a cozy king room or a deluxe option, each room feels beautifully appointed and well equipped.

Some rooms overlook the courtyard, so you can wake up to lush green surroundings. For a more luxurious experience, choose one of the deluxe king rooms that has a balcony. These rooms have extra space and a fancy bathtub in your room.

What is the food like at The Yard?

One of the highlights of staying at The Yard is their signature breakfast. Each morning, you’ll find a hamper basket waiting outside your door. Inside, you’ll find fruit bowls, cereal, homemade yogurt, juice, milk, and fresh croissants.

What is the service like at The Yard?

What truly sets The Yard high on my list is the excellent service. Staff are friendly and quick to help. As soon as I sat at the cafe. The staff took my order.

The staff recommended things to do in Bath. Having been to Bath many times I knew my way around just fine. But they can help with bookings or offer some advice on the best restaurants to eat.

Why you should book a stay at The Yard

After many visits to Bath I can confirm The Yard has been my favourite hotel to date. I love the warm cosy decor. The rooms give a countryside vibe and the staff are nice. The hotel is small and very clean. I can’t think of a single fault. I just know exactly where I’ll stay for my next visit to this historic city.
