Boutique Hotels in the 9th arrondissement, Paris

Paris is one of my favorite cities to visit in Europe. I’ve stayed in a wide range of Parisian hotels from charming boutiques to luxurious five-star stays. With so many great options and locations. I’ve come to the conclusion that the 9th arrondissement is a good area. It’s a central neighborhood with a good local life full of bakeries and cafes.
Luxury at Hotel Artemisia, 9th arrondissement
Hotel Artemisia Montmartre had just opened when I first stayed there. It was new on the block so everything smelt fresh. The hotel is nestled in the heart of Montmartre, one of the city’s most charming and artistic neighborhoods. It is just steps away from the iconic Moulin Rouge. Yet, it is tucked on a peaceful side street that offers a quiet escape from the crowds.
From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the hotel’s elegance. The interior combines a modern art-inspired design with soft, luxurious touches.

My room was filled with natural light. It was furnished with a plush bed, designer accents, and a bathroom that looked straight out of a Pinterest board. I especially loved the small reading nook by the window. It was a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee. I loved the big windows which opened up wide to a city view.
The location is brilliant. It’s away from the tourist crowds but easy to reach with a short metro ride to Montmartre and the Champs-Élysées. Plus, there are cute neighborhood cafés, and stores just up the street from the hotel.
Artistic hub at French Theory, 5th arrondissement
Cosy boutique hotel with spacious, clean rooms. It also features a café, outdoor terrace and a concept shop. There is even a studio that showcases local talent. This place is a real gem, perfectly located within walking distance of major attractions. The Louvre Museum, for instance, is just a 20-minute walk away.

The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, and the staff are genuinely friendly. There’s a charming little terrace that connects to the café, tucked away on a tranquil street. The hotel is also conveniently close to the metro and just a 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens.
I absolutely loved how everything felt close by, yet French Theory remains peacefully removed from the city’s busiest streets.
Chic and modern at Grand Chicago Hotel, 17th arrondissement
Tucked away in the charming 17th arrondissement, the Grand Hôtel Chicago was a lovely surprise. I loved the decor which was a perfect balance between classic Parisian elegance and modern comfort.
My room was bright, spotless, and small. It had a comfy bed with big wardrobes on each side of the bed. The staff were nice and helpful, I was told an introduction to the local area and food spots to visit.

There’s also a cozy lounge downstairs. A bar and dining area for breakfast or a drink in the evenings. The staff were friendly and attentive. They shared local tips and were to go for pastries like the family owned bakery called Mamiche.
A Charming Parisian Stay at Hotel Brittany, 9th arrondissement
I absolutely loved my stay at Hôtel Brittany. From the moment I walked into reception, I was enchanted by the hotel’s authentic French charm. The decor was stunning and full of character. There were classic Parisian touches every way.
My room was cozy with a spacious bathroom and plenty of room to store luggage. Every detail added personality without feeling overdone. I love how the hotel blends that timeless, elegant style with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The location couldn’t be better. It’s just steps away from the vibrant South Pigalle area. It is also within easy walking distance of Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge. You’re not missing out on the action. The street can get a little noisier at night but with the double glazing windows you barely hear a thing.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made my stay pleasant.
Modern elegance at New Hotel Lafayette, 9th arrondissement
I had the pleasure of staying at New Hotel Lafayette, and it truly felt like a charming Parisian boutique. Nestled in the vibrant 9th arrondissement, one of the best areas to stay in Montmartre.
The decor was a mix of modern elegance and classic Parisian charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. My room was cozy, clean, and equipped with luxury bath products. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to help.

Just a short walk away, I found myself near the iconic Galeries Lafayette and the historic Palais Garnier. The hotel is close to Cadet metro station which makes it easy to explore must-see attractions. You’re also close to Moulin Rouge and more of Montmartre’s gems.
If you’re planning a trip to Paris, whether it’s for a weekend or a week, consider these boutique hotels. They offer charm, comfort, safety and affordability perfect for your trip to Paris.
